Born in 1964, Eric Liot is successively a painter, sculptor, assembler and collagist. So many creative disciplines and techniques that establish him today as an accomplished artist. For twenty years, the man has established himself as an image collector. Eric Liot feeds on everyday images and characters to fix our contemporary icons. In his work, we come across our favorite heroes, usual figures of consumption or even characters from cartoons, cinema, or video games.

Eric Liot is firmly rooted in the tradition of found objects and assemblages. Liot's collages are made up of found objects, elements of comic strips, packaging boxes, and borrowings from advertising, the artist arranges the different collage materials and thus tells new stories. It subtracts objects from their initial utilitarian purpose and thereby adds to them a new plastic quality.
